PRODUCT SHORT DESCRIPTION
7-piece insulated de-icing tool kit for power lines, including ice-removal rod, chisel/hoe heads and toolbox. HV fiberglass-insulated, protects lines and equipment from ice damage.
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
The insulated de-icing tool kit is a seven-piece set used by line crews to remove ice and sleet from overhead conductors, ground wires, insulators and switchgear during winter storms. The kit is built around a long fiberglass-insulated operating rod that can be fitted with specialized heads, including an ice-breaking hammer, an ice-removal chisel/hoe, a scraper and a hook, allowing the operator to crack and strip ice from a safe distance without contacting the line. All components are stored in a durable toolbox for rapid deployment in freezing conditions.
Key Features
• Seven-Piece Set — Includes insulated rod, ice hammer, chisel/hoe, scraper, hook and storage box.
• Safe Live Distance — Long fiberglass-epoxy rod keeps the operator clear of energized, ice-loaded lines.
• Purpose-Built Heads — Interchangeable heads crack, chip and strip ice from conductors and insulators.
• Protects the Line — Mechanical ice removal avoids damaging strands or sheds while restoring clearance.
• Tough in Cold — Steel heads and UV-stable insulation remain reliable in freezing weather.
• Quick Head Changes — Standard threaded or bayonet fitting lets crews swap heads in seconds.
• Organized Toolbox — Rigid case protects the kit and enables fast transport to storm sites.
• Insulated to HV Standards — Rod manufactured and tested to insulating-tool requirements for line work.
