PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

The silicone rubber rain cover is a weatherproof accessory fitted over the top of earthing rods, post insulators, fuse cutouts, link sticks and voltage detectors on 10kV overhead equipment. Molded as a shed-style skirt in high-temperature-vulcanized silicone rubber, it sheds rainwater away from the live connection and prevents a continuous conductive water film from forming, which reduces the risk of flashover and pollution flashover in wet weather. The flexible cover simply slips over the fitting and resists UV, ozone and ageing for years of outdoor service.
