The wind power rail safety slider is a guided-type fall arrester designed for the vertical fixed safety rails installed on wind turbine tower ladders. The slider attaches to the climber’s harness sternal D-ring and travels smoothly along the rail during normal ascent and descent. In a slip or fall, its cam-locking mechanism engages instantly on the rail to arrest the fall, allowing the climber to regain footing. It is purpose-built for the repeated daily climbing demands of wind turbine installation and service.
