PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Adjustable pole-climbing irons, also called gaffs or climbing spurs, are worn by line workers to ascend and descend concrete, wood and tubular steel utility poles. Each set consists of a pair of steel leg frames with hardened triangular gaffs that bite into the pole, fastened to the worker’s boots and lower legs with padded straps. The adjustable frame fits a wide range of pole diameters and is rated for work on poles up to about 15 metres, including street-light and telecom poles. Properly fitted irons give a stable, repeatable foothold for hands-on line construction and maintenance.
