The 27.5kV railway catenary grounding wire set is engineered for maintenance crews working on electrified railway contact networks (catenary). It provides a portable short-circuit and earthing path that protects workers against accidental energization and residual charge on the 25kV traction supply. The set includes a high-voltage insulating operating rod, a double-tongue (dual-jaw) contact-wire clamp that grips the messenger or contact wire securely, a 25mm² flexible copper cable and a robust earth clamp. It is widely used by railway electrification teams, traction substations and catenary maintenance depots.
